Stage 1 - Discover the Need

The first step ensures a well documented plan to milestone the action steps toward success. The project always begins with a Project Definition Workshop (PDW), which requires the involvement of close-up interactions with all levels of key personnel to define the customer's business needs. These sessions explore and evaluate potential business processes and IT solutions. A consensus on the functional and technical requirements is presented to the customer. Throughout the stages of your project, NorthgateArinso can supply the necessary degree of management support to successfully complete your project on time and within budget. Application Tuning Service

NorthgateArinso has several decades of experience in developing and supporting applications. This experience can be used to analyse existing application environments to identify where performance issues exist or are likely to cause problems in the future. The service includes investigation and analysis of the application and system environment, identification of areas causing performance issues, recommendations to cure these performance issues and projects to implement these recommendations.


Bespoke Development service

NorthgateArinso uses its own PROIV toolset to develop industrial-strength, scalable applications on behalf of its customers. Applications developed in PROIV are presentation, platform and database independent. The PROIV application server is fully-proven, robust, enterprise-class technology that supports high transaction loads and data volumes and large user populations across multiple locations. By using PROIV, we can build powerful applications with graphical or web browser user interfaces, running on platforms from PCs through to mainframes. In addition, as our technology and services are market independent we are able to build and deliver key application solutions to all market sectors. QA & Testing service

This service is provided by our independent QA team using a structured, yet individually tailored, approach to the testing of stand-alone applications or fully integrated systems. All personnel within the team are experienced in a range of commercial environments and technologies and are certified to the industry standard of ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.


Support & Maintenance Outsourcing

NorthgateArinso provides a Support and Maintenance service for many customers with PROIV-based applications. This service can include the support and maintenance of the PROIV application running in the customer's environment, or encompass the support and maintenance of the whole platform, including database and infrastructure as well. This service is available to any customer running a PROIV application.

Application Architecture Design Service

This service provides guidance and expertise on PROIV application architecture. Whether the customer is new to PROIV or embarking on a new development project this service will introduce an application architecture, development standards and guidelines to ensure that systems are efficient and effective.


Change Management Service

This service will configure and install the PROIV Change Management system on a customer site.

PROIV Change Management is an additional software option that helps to control source code, track build progress and manage releases. It introduces a formal booking in and out process, as well as automatically backing up the source and maintaining an audit trail.

System Migration Services

Database, PROIV Version or Platform Migration

NorthgateArinso has a specialist PROIV Application Migration Service available to help our customers through growth and change. We have unrivalled skills to identify and avoid potential stumbling blocks and assist you in planning and successfully implementing your migration.

The Migration Service first identifies the requirements and scope of the move. Code analysis evaluates the extent of coding structures that will not migrate directly to the target environment. Once the areas that need recoding are identified, solutions, timescales and costs can be established.


Application Modernisation

This service assists customers with the migration of a green screen application into a full GUI application.

The service includes an audit of the legacy systems, migration of those systems, guidance in using correct GUI Standards, full GUI enabling service, bespoke development of your application, integration with Windows applications or workflow solutions and provision of PROIV Components.

Web Enablement

This service assists can assist you with the migration of a GUI or green screen application to the Web.

PROIV can help you to create a web solution tailored to your specific needs. With our e-Commerce expertise, we can help your business improve its communications with customers, suppliers and employees. Our methodology involves advice and guidance throughout the project from strategy through to post-implementation review.


Multilingual

This service will assist you to set up and configure the PROIV Multilingual functionality.

PROIV Multilingual allows you to store a full set of translations for every piece of on-screen text - prompts, menu options, tool tips, error messages etc - and call them when needed. Language selection can be automatic, dependent on the user profile or chosen manually by individual users.
