With PROIV, Northgate has historically supported the latest operating systems and hardware from major vendors. Over the last few years the proliferation of virtualisation technology has given rise to more and more customers requesting that PROIV be supported in this manner.

Following deployment of significant virtualisation infrastructure, Northgate is pleased to announce that it will now support PROIV Version 6 in a VMWare hosted operating system (in so far as PROIV is supported on that hosted operating system) and also in so far as the resources of the VMWare host have not been overcommitted.

The PROIV product is not aware of whether it is running on a virtual platform and it makes no special allowances for this circumstance. All the existing support principals apply in a virtual environment.
