Product Lifecycle Guidelines

The aim of these guidelines is to explain the availability of licences and support services for PROIV (non-mainframe) products as they move through the product lifecycle phases. You may also be interested in PROIV's Supported Platforms Guidelines.

PROIV Products/Versions

In general, PROIV normal support services are available on...


The current major version (e.g. 6.x).

The previous major version (e.g. 5.x) for up to twelve months from the release date of its successor.

Note that PROIV operates a 'forward fix' policy whereby for each major version, fixes are only applied to the latest release of that version.
