Daresbury firm ties up corporate collaboration

A Cheshire, UK business founded just 18 months ago has secured a major collaboration with a global organisation.

DAS Developments Ltd, based at Daresbury Science and Innovation Campus (Daresbury SIC), has agreed to enter a collaborative partnership with UK based- global software and solutions provider NorthgateArinso.

The agreement will see the development and launch of a new asset management and optimisation product, Acumen, designed by DAS and described by NorthgateArinso as “world class”.

The two companies came together following a consultation initiative undertaken by the Daresbury SIC to help find suitable partners for NorthgateArinso, which boasts a worldwide turnover in excess of £750m and has offices in 46 countries across 5 continents.

Roy Davies, Chief Executive Officer at DAS said, “The opportunity to partner with an organisation of NorthgateArinso’s calibre and scale provides a real catalyst to realise our growth objectives.

“We have always been a highly driven business and this partnership offers both us and our clients greater expertise, resources and a worldwide platform to deliver an application which is robust, scalable and intuitive for all types of clients.

“I am especially grateful to the team at Daresbury SIC, without whom we would be a significantly less potent force than we now are.”

Ian Meyer, Business Development Manager at NorthgateArinso said, “Our unique approach to the software innovation market led us to work closely with Daresbury SIC to identify potential partners.

“From this engagement, we are delighted to have reached an agreement with DAS Developments Ltd to help take the world class Acumen asset management and optimisation solution to market.

“We are confident that our approach will deliver the successful commercialisation of Acumen and we are genuinely excited about taking this venture forward.”

Daresbury SIC is a private-public joint venture between Langtree, Science and Technology Facilities Council, North West Regional Development Agency and Halton Borough Council.
