US and EMEA user groups party hard and plan ahead in California and Austria
The US and EMEA user groups recently came together for several days of forward thinking and laid-back hospitality in California and Austria. In California, for example, they enjoyed a gala dinner on the Queen Mary, an activity weekend at Long Beach and a day trip to the ecological paradise of Santa Catalina Island.
Face-to-face with PROIV developers
In between the food, the fun and the breathtaking views, there was plenty of serious business. Representatives from Northgate's PROIV team - developers, managers, sales teams and marketers - outlined the direction they were taking with Versions 6.1 and 6.2. For the users, it was a great opportunity to talk directly to the developers to iron out minor issues or to discuss the broader sweep of where PROIV stood in a fast-moving world.
There was plenty of opportunity too for users to talk frankly among themselves about common issues and to develop their own wish-list of improvements. These sessions, which took place in the total absence of Northgate personnel, concluded with a free vote on the order of priority for each item on the user group's wish-list.
Northgate's Investment in PROIV continues to grow
Feedback at the end of the meetings was extremely good. Delegates felt that their opinions and their attendance were valued; they were listened to and they were entertained in equal measure. More than anything, they were delighted to hear first-hand just how big an investment Northgate is currently making in PROIV. Delegates left with their optimism confirmed, their batteries recharged and their enthusiasm redoubled.
