PROIV Version 5 reaches the end of its normal supported life on 31st December 2007

With the Production Release of PROIV Version 6 in September 2006, PROIV Version 5.x for non-mainframe platforms is to be end of lifed on 31st December 2007. In addition, a number of platforms and databases will not be supported under Version 6 and so will also be end of lifed with Version 5.x. Northgate is taking this opportunity to remind you of this product milestone.

Northgate understands that some developers are still using Version 5.x and applications created with it. End of life means that these versions of product are frozen and that normal support services for these products and platforms are no longer available.

Northgate offers prior version support for 12 months on Version 5.x, subject to a premium support fee. This is payable in addition to the standard annual maintenance charges. So, from a technical and financial point of view, it makes sense to upgrade.
